Pre-K Bedtime Stories
GABY THE CANADA GOOSE
Message from Jacqueline Smith, CEO, Fluency Tutors Recruitment and Training Inc:
Hello friends! Fluency Tutors began in 2017 as a dream of uniting teachers and students around the world. Today we announce the launch of our first series of Bedtime Stories called GABY THE CANADA GOOSE.
Social Emotional Learning through Life Lessons is the methodology behind our stories which are aimed at pre-K students ages 2-5.
The heart-hands symbol was chosen as our logo because I believe it is the international symbol of care. It truly depicts our brand and the caring that has gone into developing an online community of tutors to deliver lessons to students of all ages in countries throughout the world.
There are children of many different cultures in classrooms learning English. Today with the use of technology, we can provide children from one side of the world the opportunity to grow and learn simultaneously with others from different countries. We have written this series of books with the goal of to enjoy and love all people from Earth is a passion of ours, and by creating this series we are hoping to open the hearts of as many children as we can, to one day reach a global unity.
Our passion is engaging children online and teaching them about the cultures of other children. Each book will maintain the same characters who become close friends. Children will see these friendships flourish as the characters learn about each other’s culture and language.
As parents, we often feel we don’t spend enough time with our children. The most magical time we spend with them is at bedtime. Jacqueline and her team have created a bedtime series to develop the social-emotional health of young learners. Children listen and repeat the English vocabulary as well as vocabulary in other languages. Studying other languages happens easily for children at a young age when they are most impressionable.
Reading these stories to your child each night plants seeds in their mind and they use the vocabulary throughout the next day. It is recommended each story be repeated nightly during the week before moving onto the next story.
For this introductory, three-story offer called ‘Sharing with Friends,’ we chose characters to represent a few different cultures through the illustration of animals native to each country.
Our intention is to teach young learners valuable life lessons using English vocabulary (translated to Chinese) that target Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). Our main character is a Canada Goose named Gaby who will travel the world and experience different cultures with her four international friends.
- Belle the Brown Bear from Russia
- Felix the Fox from Germany
- Mia the Monkey from Cuba
- Eddie the Elephant from Thailand
The characters are illustrated so children see them evolve through each story in an ’emotionally’ healthy way.
Our discounted Introductory Series starts with Gaby meeting and sharing her Canadian lunch with each friend.
